Course Description:


This course is designed to train professional and non-professional caregivers in the care and
attention of individuals and families affected by Huntington’s Disease (HD).
Through interactive modules, real-life experiences, and practical resources, participants will learn
about HD best care practices in a multidisciplinary and holistic context and how to support people
affected by the disease and their families.
Participants will learn practical skills and theoretical knowledge in key areas such as
communication, neurology, psychology, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy,
oral care and nutrition.
At the end of the course, caregivers, whether families or professionals, will be better prepared to
face with a holistic and sustainable perspective, the multiple challenges and challenges involved in
caring for people with HD, improving their well-being and that of those they care for.

Evaluation and Certification:

  • Modular Assessments: Each module includes practical assessments (quizzes, case studies,
    reflection exercises) to ensure understanding of the content.
  • Final Project: Development of a comprehensive care plan based on a real or simulated case
    study.
  • Certification: Upon completion of the course and passing all evaluations, participants will
    receive a certificate of “Comprehensive Care in Huntington’s Disease” endorsed by the
    organization.
